I have an HP tablet laptop and when I downloaded Windows 7 it disabled a lot of the external buttons, such as volume, brightness, and screen orientation. I was wondering if there is a way to fix this?

Will I be able to use a serial from a windows 7 preinstalled laptop to do a clean (non crapware) install if I use a retail image from the web?
because I take it the only disc i will get will be a reset to factory settings one.
(so I download a retail disc, then use the serial from my laptop that I will purchase with win7 preinstalled to do a clean install from the retail disc?)
thanks all

I got a Dell laptop back in July that qualified for the free upgrade to Windows 7. I have it ordered, but not only has it not shipped, it isn’t showing any kind of status message or estimated ship date. I was wondering if it’ll take a while, or if i should contact their customer service and find out whats going on.

With microsoft official site, the end of June ago Microsoft announced the price to Buy Windows 7. Interestingly, the price offered is cheaper than Vista. This is likely to adjust to the situation as a result of the global economic crisis. In its release, Microsoft provides two license purchase, upgrade and Full Retail. Devoted upgrade package for consumers who have installed other Windows operating system, the XP and Vista. Of the Windows version that is used must be original, not pirated. While the package is a Full Retail offers for new customers, namely those who are not using windows on their personal computer. In other words Windows 7 is replacement windows XP or Vista. For Upgrade license, to Buy Windows 7 Home Premium edition has a price of US$ 120, Windows 7 Professional edition USS200, and Windows 7 Ultimate edition US$220. When compared with the price when Vista first launched, there is a difference of US$40 at the Home Premium edition and Ultimate. While the Professional edition, the price does not change and the same price with Vista Business.Price decrease also occurred on the Full Retail license. Windows 7 Home Premium is sold at US$200, cheaper US$40 than Vista Home Premium. Windows 7 Professional Edition does not change, remain at the price of US$300. The difference is greatest in the license windows 7 look at Windows 7 Ultimate. If Vista Ultimate first launch at US$400, Windows 7 Ultimate will have the burly US$320 only. Please note, details of prices above apply only to consumers in the United States. In addition to the United States Microsoft launch new pricing details for the state of the EU and the UK.During the campaign, Microsoft provides a half price discount to the people of the United States, Canada, and Japan. In addition, Microsoft had to offer special price for buyers who pre-order through the Amazon site and Best Buy. Two promo has ended on July 11th. Offer other interesting option is a free upgrade to Windows 7 to users who buy a new Computer using Vista, until 31 January 2010.Brandon LeBlanc (team developer) promises to allow the package of Windows 7, whether DVD licensed or PC installed, will be done soon after Windows 7 was launched end of October 2009.
