If i download and install windows 7 onto a hard drive and then move that hard drive to a new system. The new system would be a new motherboard,proccesor,and ect. Would my OS run on that new system?
I don’t have any DVD roms, only CDR, which isn’t enough space, seeing as the .iso file for the Windows 7 release candidate build 7100 is 2gb+ in size. Is there a way I could basically run the installation off the flash drive, just like a disk, on a newly formatted computer?
If not, are there any other alternatives?
While installing Windows 7,does it ask you if you want to format your drive.
I have only 10gb of space left on my laptops hard drive with XP on it. Can I install Windows 7 on my external hard drive, and dualboot that way?
My external hard drive also has files on it so I’d rather it not be formatted by installing Windows 7 on it, if that’s possible?

Is there a way (and if so, how?) to run Windows 7 (whatever beta it’s in) on my computer from a flash drive? I don’t want to install it on my computer because I don’t have a disc burner to back up my files, so I’d like to try it out by booting off of a flash drive. How can I do this?
