Or should i wait till october 22nd to buy the laptop with windows 7 integrated?
Are the laptops going to be available with windows 7 after it releases(october 22nd)? Or windows will just sell it to windows vista user till 2010?
Depends on the laptop you’re looking at.
If it’s something that’s entirely pre-assembled, they’re likely to still have Vista inventory to clear out after October 22, so the laptop is still likely to be on the upgrade system for a bit. If it’s one of those, there’s really no reason to wait, though I suppose the price might drop a bit on October 22 once other things become available with Windows 7 pre-installed.
Most things that include customization should transition to Windows 7 on October 22. You’ll also surely find some preassembled things ready for sale with Windows 7 on October 22.
There aren’t going to be any radical hardware differences over the next month or so, and generally anything that can run Vista can run Windows 7. If you find a good deal on something with Vista now, and don’t mind doing an upgrade or fresh install with the free discs later, you have no need to wait. Mainly depends on how quickly you need the laptop.
my suggestion is wait awhile before doing anything with windows 7. If you think about it as with every new windows their are issues when they first come out. Wait till they can work out all issues before doing anything. Kinda hard to wait though , both my dells are ready for windows 7 via mormal download, but I gonna wait. hope this helps
Wait until you can get one with a fresh install of Windows 7. That way you know the hardware is compatible and the system starts. Upgrades always leave behind “traces” of the old system. A clean install is always better.
it all depends on you. if you need the laptop now, buy it with vista and upgrade, but if you just want 7 on there, i would wait for it preinstalled.
