Buy Windows 7

Is The Current Windows 7 Beta Worth Dumping Vista For?

To be quite frank, I’m sick of Vista. I’ve had problems that have been traced back to Vista since I bought this computer, and from what it sounds like, Windows 7 fixes a good deal of those problems. Being an impatient person, I’m wondering if the current beta build of Windows 7 is stable enough to make it worth the upgrade. Any advice would be appreciated.

I suggest making a 2nd partition on your hard drive and installing Windows 7 alongside Windows Vista. When the full version of Windows 7 comes out, you can upgrade Vista to 7.

i wouldnt say that a beta is worth reformatting your computer. you will have to reformat twice. (once to put it on, another to put on the full windows 7) that can be a bit more trouble than its worth.
the last i heard, the only beta out was supposed to be “secret” and had a watermark and stuff. my friend made an app that removes the water mark though. im sure you can find it by searching.

    Hi Quinn M,
My name is Ron, and I’m part of the Windows Outreach Team.
Have you checked out the new features page for Windows 7? Click over here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows… to check it out. It has a lot of info about the new changes in this latest revision of the Microsoft Windows OS.
Most of the buzz has been about the taskbar changes, but things like the device management options and HomeGroup are pretty cool.
That being said, remember that this is in the Beta stage, and isn’t ready for the shelves just yet. That means that you probably shouldn’t be running it as the primary OS on your only computer.
If you come up with other questions, feel free to reach out.
    Cheers,
