If I Download Windows 7 Beta, Will It Override My Current Operating System?
Okay, so im running on windows XP windows media center adition 2005. My copmputer is vista certified. I Have the Windows 7 Beta version. I was wondering what woudl happen if i installed it. Like would it be like a whole new operating system ro what?Any advice is appreciated.

Coming a little late to the Beta party, eh? Seriously though, if you’re installing, you should check out some of these resources. They’ll show you how to install, how to set up a dual-boot system (if that’s what you want to do) and tons of other great info to help out.

you can download a free program by microsft which makes a virtual pc on your computer so you can run windows 7 “ontop” of your current os and you can just exit it like a normal program. you dont even need to download windows 7 to a cd! if you have to iso you can just mount it onto this software. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloa…
If you do it right, you can set it up to keep both operating systems, and ask you which one to start when you turn on your computer.
If you just stick with the defaults, then yeah, it will wipe everything and put itself in as the only OS.
Yes but i think theres a feature to reboot to previous OS, since its just a Beta
