They would probably be the same thing. They are referring to the OS being a 32-bit system over the 64-bit system. Normally unless it is specifically noted in the description it would be the 32-bit system. If it was 64-bit the description would note that it was. 64-bit systems allow for the utilization of more system memory.

I am confirming what a number of other posters have already answered, the starter only comes in 32-bit: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo… Choose your net-book based on the other features, the Windows 7 is the same.

  3. Starter comes only in a 32-bit version. There’s no difference.
The other versions like Home Premium and Professional also have 64-bit options available, but not Starter. (And a netbook wouldn’t be able to handle a 64-bit operating system anyway.)
Usually if it doesn’t specify 32-bit or 64-bit, you should assume it’s 32-bit. That’s what’s happening here with the one that doesn’t outright say 32-bit. It is 32-bit as well, but they don’t bother saying it.

they are the exact same thing.
A common marketing technique is to bombard you with big numbers and long strings of “nonsense,” making the peoduct sound like it’s faster/better, when in reality, it’s the same thing.
32-bit in my mind is becoming outdated, because essentially all modern computers could run 64-bit if the user really wanted to, but most people just don’t need it.

There is no difference at all.
Usually an operating system is available in 32 bit or 64 bit, however the Windows 7 starter edition only come in 32 bit so window 7 starter and windows 7 starter 32 bit are exactly the same thing.

you can check here for the difference with Windows 7 editions..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_e…
    .

  7. I think you might be disappointed with the Starter as it lacks several of the features found in a full Windows 7. My personal opinion is that Microsoft should withdraw both Vista Starter and Windows 7 Starter

  8. Since you are using a Net book it will be better to go with the 32-bit . Other wise it may affect the performance of the computer .
