How Soon After Windows 7 Comes Out, Will It Be Pre-installed On Computers?
Just to explain;
Windows 7 comes out from the 22nd October ’09.
In stores right now, Windows Vista is pre-installed on computers so its ready to go.
How soon, when Windows 7 comes out, will it be able to be bought pre-installed on computers, rather than buying it and installing it yourself?
I have a feeling I didn’t explain that right, if so, let me know and I’ll edit.

They’re expected to have at least some computers ready to go with it when it officially comes out on October 22.
Not every OEM may have every model with Windows 7 pre-installed right away. They may have pre-assembled Vista inventory to still clear out for awhile, which is why the free upgrade system stays in effect through easly 2010.
Anyway, nothing sooner than October 22, and it’s unlikely every single thing available will suddenly have Windows 7 pre-installed on it that date. Some will though, but the specifics are unpredictable right now.
You will be able to get it on computers as of the release date.
Historically every version of Windows has had bugs in it in the original release regardless of Beta testing.
Oct. 22 will be the date for you to be able to purchase and download it on your computer. If you buy a PC on the 22nd of Oct, chances are you will be able to walk out of the store with it installed already.
Upon release date manufacturers will begin selling computers with Windows 7 On them. Manufacturers get Windows 7 Before everyone else…so they can have computers on the line on the date of release. It is part of their contract.
