How Many People Have Pre Ordered Windows 7?
With all these deals for a free or discounted upgrade to Windows 7, and Microsoft’s HUGE push to to Windows 7, I would suspect many people have pre ordered it. But how many?

The only company who know the figures are Microsoft – who are unlikely to give out this info

A lot. Those inexpensive pre-sales seemed pretty popular, and I believe they sold out in Japan and flooded servers in the UK so they shut it down early there. Then there are all the people “pre-ordering” by planning new computer purchases around it. And Intel just indicated they themselves plan to adopt it fairly rapidly, which is likely to be at least some incentive for other businesses to follow suit sooner rather than later.
