How long will it take before the first laptop making companies will start using Windows 7 as their operating system, after Windows 7 has been released?

Windows 7 makes its appearance on shelves and new computers October 22, 2009.
When Windows 7 releases publicly, it will be on laptops. Manufacturers just got their RTM Windows 7 versions, which is basically the final product to test and configure on machines.
So when that day in October hits, laptops will already be loaded with 7.
They should be available with Windows 7 pre-installed on or around October 22 when the official release date occurs.
You can already buy things now with Vista and get a free upgrade to Windows 7 upon release though, effective June 26.
Many new laptops being sold now come with Vista PLUS a coupon for Windows 7. So even if you buy a laptop now w/ Vista, you can claim your Windows 7 copy in October, after the launch.
