Buy Windows 7

Do You Think Windows 7 Will Be Glitchy At First?

I’m guessing it will, but my actual question is.. Every time Microsoft makes an upgrade to Windows 7 once it’s released to fix bugs and stuff, will people who already have the buggy copy get all the updates for free?
I want to get Windows 7 when it’s first released, but if you can’t get the free updates, then that would suck…

  1. every OS is glitchy at first. the updates are called Service packs, they’re free
hell Vista was crazy on launch apparently. now it’s pretty stable, but still has a bad rep. iv never had a problem with it (64bit anyway) on the system i built and took off alot of the super user friendly features… no horror stories from other computer literate people i know that have Vista.
I would hope Windows 7 is fine.. Win2k was perfect except for gaming the past 2-3 years, and i’ve had no experience with XP other than at work, and no problems there. I think Win7 will be fine

  2. Every OS has issues at first, but I believe Microsoft broadened the testing base this time around and people are pretty happy so far.
Windows 7 will work with most things that work on Vista, so there shouldn’t be a rough transition, unlike has occurred with other things. There might be a few compatibility issues, like with antivirus software, but most things should be smoother than usual.
And yes, as long as it’s called “Windows 7″ all the patches and fixes and service packs and everything can be downloaded for free.

I dont think it will be glitchy reason:
It is an upgraded version from Vista. Basicly they didnt start completly over like how they started vista from scratch. So this Windows se7ven Is like the update for Vista. Vista was just a prerelease test for Windows 7 I believe. you can even try the beta or the RC and see how its so fast and stable.
To get more information you can visit the Microsoft website or try it out yourself.

Every other version of windoze has been glitchy at release and forevermore thereafter; I see no reason to assume they’ll break their pattern.
Microsoft is usually pretty good about releasing free updates and fixes though, as fast as they discover them. So that’s a plus.

  5. I’ve heard that windows 7 is going to be the best windows, my friend is using it he told me that it is super good, he had never faced any bugs or stuff. I don’t know actually if it’s good or not…
You can find more information in microsoft website.

I’ve been using Win 7 since the beta was released, it had a few minor problems, but the RC seems fine.
It runs happily on my old 2.8Ghz P4/768Mb RAM/GeForce 4 64Mb desktop, and really flies on this Acer laptop with Core2Duo 2Ghz/3Gb RAM/Intel 4500 graphics.
Runs all the Aero effects with no noticeable speed loss.
I thoroughly recommend you give it a try.

If you purchase the OS then the updates are free. The computer that you are running now is getting free updates.
Yes it will be buggy. I am going to wait several months before getting it.

Download Windows 7 Release Candidate for free at the link below. It’s free to use until June next year I think.
I have been using the Windows 7 RC for a few weeks and it has been rock solid on my system.
