Is The Lenovo 3000 G530 Eligible For A Free Windows 7 Upgrade?

I recently bought a new lenovo 3000 g530, and one of the main reasons I chose this above others was that I thought that it came with a free windows 7 upgrade.
It runs Windows Vista Home Premium, so I was under the impression that that automatically qualified me for a free upgrade.
But when I try to apply, it does not show my specific model as a qualifier.
Any g530 owners have similar experience?

Have you tried contacting Lenovo support? That will be your best bet: http://www.lenovo.com/us/en/windows7/

  2. I believe it’s not normally eligible as it indicates it actually comes with Home Basic.
Not all models from every OEM qualify. You’d need to confirm it specifically listed as eligible before purchase.
A lot of the less expensive laptops, etc. aren’t eligible.
