If I Purchase A Downloadable Copy Of Windows 7 Online, Will I Be Able To Do A Clean Install?
I have a laptop without an optical drive so I can’t buy a Windows 7 disk without buying an external dvd reader $_$ If I could download Windows 7 instead, that would be great… however, would it be in .iso format so I can make it bootable on a flash drive?
yes, you can make a bootable flash with win7 and it will be iso format
If the downloadable version they do is like the Beta and Release Candidate, yes, you’d download an iso that you could make bootable on a flash drive.
They are supposedly also considering releasing it on USB thumb drives to facilitate people with things like netbooks, but that’s not decided yet.
Buy nero or any other .iso imaging programs
If you’re using nero go to the option where it says “mount .iso to disk”
After you mount it, it will be bootable.
You can easily do a clean install, just like you would with any other OS.
