How Do You Change The Width Of Windows 7 Taskbar Buttons?

Does anyone know if there is anyway to change the button width of icons pinned to the windows 7 taskbar? The button’s default width is 60px wide and I want to decrease it to 40px. There is possibly a registry setting but I’m not sure…

  1. 1. Navigate to
    Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktopWindowMetrics
    2. Create a new String key, name it MinWidth and set the value to 56.
    3. Logoff/Login
Play around with the value to get the width you want. Works for me in RTM.
Hope it helps you. For more information http://windows7.iyogi.net
