What Does It Mean When I Fail The “ac Adapter Connected” Test On The Windows 7 Hp Upgrade Manager?
HP is sending me my windows 7 upgrade disk. I was wondering if I have to use the disk on my new computer or if I could use it to upgrade any computer.

Depends.
If it is for a HP computer you can use it only on an HP computer that is capable of running Windows 7.
If directly from MS (like me) then you can use it on any computer that is capable of running Windows 7.
But the activation key, once used, is locked to that computer.
I see here a lot of Yes and No answers. You can contact HP and ask them if the CD you are getting is coming with drivers for your laptop (ask HP that you are worrying about the drivers part), If they will tell you it’s coming prepacked with drivers, you might have some trouble installing it on any other PC. If they say it’s an update and you will have to update drivers – mean the version you are getting is a regular Windows 7 upgrade.
Anyway you may upgrade only 1 PC using the license key you will get with upgrade CD, If you want you can always order some more from Amazon (just in case and you need to upgrade more than 1 PC), I got 3 licenses from Amazon for $50 each, here is the link: http://bit.ly/win7promo
Good luck with your upgrade process.
Yes, but you’ll have to buy an activation code for that computer – you can use the same disk, you can’t use the same activation code.
Do you guys really think windows 7 is as good as the hype? Or is it truly just another vista flop?
