Can I Download The Windows 7 Release Candidate Anywhere Else?
Hello, I just developed a love for computers and I learned what Windows 7 and it’s release candidate were, but when I went to the Microsoft website all excited, looking forward to a new operating system I read that they were no longer providing downloads. Does anyone know if I could download the release candidate from somewhere else? And if so, from where? Thank You So Much!
You can probably find it on torrents but you should be careful in case someone put a virus in the image. Since you can still get license keys from Microsoft, torrenting the image is legal.
The Release Candidate is/was a testing version that’s now several months old and is unsupported software, meaning it doesn’t get updates as time goes on.
The final version comes out October 22. You might just want to wait for that now. If you install the Release Candidate, you’re going to have to turn around and install all over again for the final version.
And if you try to find the Release Candidate someplace other than Microsoft now, you are taking your chances with viruses, etc., that may have been planted in it.
